Movie review : Charlie Chaplin's ' modern times'

Hello friends

25th June  we are watching a Charlie Chaplin’s film ' Modern Times'. That movie published in 1936.it is an American film. The interesting thing in movie he used a tragedy as well as comedy. that  sequence follow  in movie. Chaplain have a skill to tell a tragic story in a comic ways.

He was a multitalented man because he was good actor , director, writer , producer and also music compose in the film.  One person managed all things. The movie represent a harsh reality of American society. Tells fact about society.

In this movie we see a satire on economical condition and a it is also  political satire. America is  a pro capitalist country . The movie started with a watch it is  a very symbolic way. And then sheople picture converted into crowd.

That movie shows zeitgeist chaplain's days. That time captured in this movie. It is a classic work. Chaplain used very symbolic tools in movie. The core part of the movie is hunger and joblessness. Represent the condition of pro poor people life.
We the power only have a industrialist not anyone else. We see a Charlie Chaplin’s character in films how machinery work effects are still remaining in his body in free time. Joblessness is a great depression  in America as we are faced that problem in present time. Job is a basic needs of humanity.

The other main character is the GAMIN . She belongs to a poor family. Her father was unemployed. It is a big problem. She become a thief normally for food. She faced orphan condition after his father’s death.

The other settings is in jail. So Chaplin live very happily in prison then out side.  Because of joblessness . Other thing we notice that in that time trust is powerful and in present time no one trust to you. In that time he have a latter and people trust on him but nowadays we gives a so many proof and interview and entrance exam not enough your marksheet but  skill is important.

GAMIN and    Charlie feel homelessness. They see a dream and imagine and see a foods and home. In that time that fulfil there feeling a department store  in 100 years back and today’s mall culture give that happiness to all class people.

Both character are suffered a lot. Constantly faced job and joblessness. In this film food is reportedly coming also in dream. The other thing is cctv cameras are constantly watching .it is a dangerous for our freedom. Camera have 2 side good thing as well as bad  things. Movies characters played very good roll with amazing expression. They don’t used more duologue but very well reached a depth understanding of poor people condition.
The end of the movie both are hopeful. They says 'we can we will ' end is not die  but with hope. It is a symbol of journey. It’s a very good movie we all are enjoyed to watched this movie . thank you to Dilip barad sir for organising this film screening.

Thank you
