Feature writing miss universe 2019



       The 1st miss universe pageant was held on 28 June 1952. The 1st winner of the pageant was 17 year old Armi kuusela of Finland.

         MISS UNIVERSE 2019 the 68th edition miss universe pageant was held on at Tyler Perry studios in Atlanta, Georgia the United States.

        Zozibini Tunzi was born on 18 September 1993. She is a SOUTH AFRICAN model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned miss Universe 2019. She is the 3rd woman from South Africa to win this title. This recent victory of South Africa in 2017. The Frist black women since Leila Lopes was crowned miss universe.

2017 second south African women win miss universe title.

More than 90 women from across the world took part in the pageant which was held in Atlanta in the US.

LANGUAGE LAB

This blog is a part of my academic study.

       A language laboratory is dedicated space for foreign language learning. Where students access audio- visual materials and improve 4 LSRW skills and enhanced our knowledge about second language.

HISTORY OF LANGUAGE LABORATORY :
  
        The first recorded language lab was established at the University of Grenoble in 1908 Frank Chalfant brought the concept to the United States establishing a 'phonetics lab' at Washington State University in 1911 or 1912. These early language labs used phonographs to deliver audio and were not yet divided into individual booths.

ADVANTAGES Of LANGUAGE LEARNING SOFTWARE :

        English is second language for us. So it’s difficult language to learn English language easily. Language lab is helpful tool for language learning. This software give all basic information in a simple language so Lerner’s follow easily step by step.

      The second is we are not speak English as much as our mother language so our pronunciation of the English language is different so that speaking skill is improved through that software.  Language lab also provide a record our voices and compare with right pronunciation. So we can know how speak in a right way so it’s very interesting activity.


     The next advantages is about self learning. This program teaching some topic related information and at the end of the topic we appear for a self evaluation like a test of that topic. So we evaluate instant what is not clear concept in our mind. They provide also a right answer and we apply a many time no limits.

   This program is helpful for two types of learner’s first for a average Learner’s and slow learner because if you are interested that concept very soon so you can do in a speedy way and if you need some more time you also start any time so it’s better for both.

  Learning language in entertaining and interactive way. It also provides more advanced function and features. Learner like to do a work. And improve LSRW skills.

 Practice study rather than traditional study.


DISADVANTAGES OF LANGUAGE LEARNING SOFTWARE:


Interrupted Power supply is main disadvantage because power is off so we can’t do anything like a traditional methods.

Expensive Equipment it is also one disadvantage all are not capable to afford because it is a costly.

   If we compare traditional methods and digital class room so we feel less communication. we can not doing communication with software as well as our traditional classroom.

    The next is all students have no awareness about digital tools. So they faced more difficulty in that. So that type of students not get benefits from the software.

     That is not good for a group work because everyone can not do everything in a individual way. And a all group members can’t Learn form only observations. So that is good for only individual learning.

Some paragraph reading and then give questions and find  answers from the paragraph.  so that paragraph is not give a right information and learner  maybe see as a that’s true.

Five things learn from language learning software :

It is Development  my LSRW skills learning, speaking, reading and writing.
  Some grammar topic are also learn from this.
Immediate feedback is helpful for self evaluation no need to others review and improve my week point it’s good to self learning and evaluating.

I learn that learning a topic after do some activities related with that topic so checking grasping knowledge.

  The other is some words are very near to each other and how we read as a same way but meaning is different so it’s very difficult to know that and we do mistake so that different we learn through the language learning.

Chetan Bhagat :-

    Chetan bhagat is  an Indian author and columnist known for his Indian-English novels about young middle class Indians. He got education from Indian institute of technology, Delhi. (B. Tech)and after Indian institute of management Ahemadabad (MBA).He writes realistic , fiction, romance and non fiction work. He is a voice of young generation. His works are popular and controversial.

    Chetan bhagat was included in Time magazine's list of World's 100 Most Influential People in 2010.

Popular literature :

Popular literature includes those writing intended for the masses and those that find favour with large audience . Popular literature is only designed for the entertainment. It is a fiction. Popular literature not deal with abstract problem. It takes moral principles as the given accepting certain generalized common sense, idea and value. Popular literature reaches the mainstream reader with current topic.

      Popular literature has Lack of deep philosophy,Spirituality, Lack of morality / humanity,Not challenges the belief of people, unacceptable solutions and Lack of intellectualism.


     Chetan  bhagats works are popular and controversial. He is a voice of young generation in India. One night @ the call center is a humourous , fiction and romance novel. It published in  2005. It is first person narrative story through Shyam mehra. Novel write around group of call centre employees working at Haryana.


 
    self help book is one that is written with the intention to interact it's readers on slowing personal problems. It based on teaching moral lessons and build on philosophy.  In this book Chetan Bhagat focus on the real life problems. Shyam Protegonist almost lost his self confident and love, Military uncle who wants to talk with his grandson , Radhika cheated by her husband and demadable mother in law. All are fed up with  their boss. They all most lost everything in their life.


   The call from God can be considered as, "Inner voice ". The call from God helps characters to know their problems and find out their solutions by themselves. God's call just help them to find the problems and their solutions by showing right path. It's like guidance. All have problems in their lives but the right guidance gives them confident to fight with it. Like this , the call from God gave confident to characters to fight with their problems.

God gave the message that four things need to become successful :

1) Intelligence
2) Imagination
3) Self confidence
4) Failure
Thus the book deal with the real problems of the people. The call from God or Inner call gave self confidence and guidance to six people. It shows the right path. Everyone has this kind of problems in their life. By reading this book it help them to know their problem and find it's solution. Also it gives self confidence to people.

Suzanna Arundhati Roy is born on 24 November 1961 in Shillong, Meghalaya. She is Indian author, actress. She is also a political activist involved in human rights and environmental causes. She is best known for her novel ' The God of smaller
things' which won the Man Booker prize for fiction in 1997.
   
      She worked in television and movies. She wrote the screenplay  for In which Annie gives It those ones. The movie based on her experience as a student of architecture in which she also appeared as a performer and Electronic Moon.

      She won the National film Award for Best screenplay in 1988. She also written a television serial The Banyan tree after the success of her 1st novel. She has written numerous essays on contemporary politics and culture.

About her novel ' THE GOD OF SMALL THINGS'

       Arundhati's first novel ' The God of small things' in 1992. This novel completing in 1996. She wrote her  childhood experiences in Aymanam in this novel. This book is semi – Autobiographical novel. And also won the Booker prize for fiction.

She writes on culture and class discrimination of her native village. She including colonial and social history. She give more attention on caste system touchability and untouchability. In the mid 20th century. There are four original caste and then divided into 3000 sub caste.

" Change is one things acceptance is another"

     ' The Ministry of utmost happiness' is a second novel of Arundhati Roy. This Novel published in 2017. In this novel she shows the dark and violent incidents of the modern Indian history. The land reform disposed poor farmers to the 2002. Kashmir insurgency and Godhra train burning. She's character run the Indian society or intersex  woman ' Hijra' a rebellion architect supervisor in the intelligence service take place in Delhi and Kashmir.

Sir Ken Robinson :- Changing paradigm

      Sir Kenneth Robinson is a British author speaker and international advisor on education in the arts to government, non-profits, education . 

This video talk about some innovative ideas related to technology and education system. The title of ' The Changing paradigm' by ken Robinson.

   In this video Robinson talked about moment is reforming public education. There are two main reasons behind it like 

- Economic

- Culture

This is two major concern to change education system. How to educate their children to take their place in the economies of the 21st century. The second reason is the culture. how we educate our students so that they can have a sense of cultural identity. He teach us the education in new way through the technology. Education system change through the new tools of technology. 

Ken Robinson talked about the Divergent thinking and collaboration learning.

Sugato Mitra :- future of learning

   Sugata Mitra is a Professor of Educational Technology at the School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences at Newcastle University England. 

Sugato Mitra give idea about the school in ' cloud'.

He started “ The hall in The wall” project. How children learn to operate computer without any teacher and not required any instructions under this project. They are able to operate the computer and learn from self experience. It’s a very unique kind of ideas about education. Sugato Mitra was successful in this project. He do research in rural areas.

His Idea about Digital way if learning. It is also against the traditional methods of teaching. Like Book vs Video , Novel vs film

But it is a very interesting way of learning. Students are excited to learn in a different way. It is encouraging flint learning. Students are able to learn at home also and any time any where. They are enjoying in that type of learning because video resources give the option to pause and repeat any time. So video are also useful in education it is converted entertainment to education system.

Digital Immigrants : old generation

  Digital Immigrants they do single task, sequential thinking, text and have a limited resources.

     It is a time called digital era. People are changing tool for education and grasping knowledge. People are moving books to internet. Internet provide all information about anything. But when it comes to academic research work. How far the authenticity of the resources is certitude.
      Barad sir teach us how these works are required Quality and awareness about the authenticity of web sources.

Turnitin is an American commercial, Internet-based plagiarism detection service which is a subsidiary of Advance.
   There are so many sites which is used by students for learning. Like enots, Britannica, sparknotes, gradesaver all site are widely used for academic purposes. Turnitin provide a rubric pentameters and quality of web resources. This is a helpful to check the authenticity level of the web site.

Here are some websites evaluated by me on parameters measured by rubric.

Goodreads is a literature study guide for users. It provides the information about a related searches topic. Content is good there are many writer who write that book review for that web site like Joyce Meghan Wang. They give their understanding and point of view about book or topic we can not say it's a blindly true information.

Shmoop is a provided information in a simple language. We are easily get ideas what the main consent. But it is a not give deep information . It used for academic purposes. We get the basic theme and understanding through this site. But we can not describe as a good web resources to a Idea sources and research.

Thinking Activity: In the Context of A Grain of Wheat. How is the Native represented by colonizers? Do a character study of Friday in Robinson Crusoe.This activity given by Heena mam

    Ngugi wa thiongo  write a novel ' A Grain of Wheat'. He wrote on poor people situation or concerns. In this novel he write on his village Kenya. We see the conflict between white and black people in this novel. Also in Robinson Crusoe . Western countries are considered as a powerful and civilizers. They ruled on black people.
     

           The Robinson Crusoe novel written by Daniel Dafoe. He shows the two important character in this novel. And highlight the master slave relationship. He shows the defence between colonizer and colonized people. Crusoe follow belong to Cristian religion and he also force Friday to follow that.  Crusoe given a Cristian name   for this slave Friday without asking him. Crusoe believe like he is a superior because of his language and white men. He says Friday to call me a Master. And  he called to Friday as a my man but do not give Friday to respect. Friday follow the instructions. Crusoe teach only some regular words . We see the master slave relationship in Robinson Crusoe novel. Crusoe is a educated civilized person and Friday is a slave. Friday follow the instructions of his master.

  This relationship we also  occurred  in a grain of wheat. In that time Britain was ruled on Kenyan. English language is used by English people. Natii people are not understand the other languages. So that thing is common in both novel.
